President William Ruto has met with Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices for engagements at State House, Nairobi.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati was also spotted in the meeting with President William Ruto, 15 Commissions and 5 Independent Offices were also present.
In a video shared on Facebook, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati handed over the IEBC Exit Report, Post-Election Evaluation Report for 9th August 2022 General Election and other crucial documents used by IEBC to manage cooperative governance.
Chebukati said that the 2022 elections were free and fair. He is expected to exit IEBC on Tuesday, 17th January 2022. Two other commissioners: Prof.Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu are also retiring after their 6-year term.
The Post-Election Evaluation Report was launched on 16th January 2022. The trio had an opportunity to bid IEBC staff goodbye as they retire. They were praised for the good work done over the years and upholding the will of Kenyans.
The report was launched at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi County.
