Over the last few days, Raila's 2022 Bid has grown from strength to strength with the ODM Leader enjoying tremendous support in different parts of the country.
Raila Odinga is among a host of candidates who have registered their interest in taking over from President Kenyatta when his term comes to an end in 2022. Other candidates who will be vying in 2022 include Deputy President William Ruto, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi among others.
Despite enjoying enormous success at the national level, there have been concerns about Raila's support in his backyard. There have been growing voices of distraught in recent years.
City lawyer Ahmednassir has now taken to the internet to warn the ODM party that they could be risking their party numbers in 2022 by making their prices too expensive.
According to Ahmednassir, there will be lots of Independent candidates in the region because of the high auction fees.
"In 2022 Luo Nyanza will have the highest number of independent candidates and independent elected Members of Parliament and Members of County Assemblies. Because of the high auction fees, popular but poor candidates will be priced out of ODM's tickets! @Junet_Mohammed" he posted on Twitter
