The Deputy President's led party, UDA is likely to win more electives seats in the upcoming poll as new opinion researches are now showing it's candidates leading more i.e. In Laikipia County, the UDA candidates for Governor, Senator and Women Rep have trounced their rivals badly to emerge on top.
According to Mizani Africa latest opinion poll, Joshua Irungu of UDA is commanding a support of 57.4% against incumbent Ndiritu Muriithi who is following him with 36.1% . John Wakaba is far lagging behind with 5.3% of support.
In the race for Laikipia Senate Seat, incumbent Nderitu John Kinyua is taking an early lead of 42.6% against his competitors; Maina Njenga who has 19.7% and John Kiama who is lagging behind with 16.4%.
Switching to the Laikipia Women Rep seat, Jane Kagiri is by far leading and is likely to succeed the outgoing Women Rep Cate Waruguru. Jane is leading the race by 52.5% against Jane Appolos who comes second with 19.7% and Mary Wangari who is lagging behind with 16.4% of ground support.
UDA lead in Laikipia is a very big win to second in command Ruto as the candidates will mobilize their voters to support his Presidential bid as they hunt for their votes.
