DP Ruto has been scheming on his 2022 presidential ambitions. He has been crafting winning formulas that will make him deliver in 2022. One of the strategies he has decided to use is by being close to former allies of Raila Odinga, former president, Mwai Kibaki and some allies of president Uhuru Kenyatta.
He has relied so much on economists like David Ndii, Njuguna Ndungu, Raphael Munavu and Larry Gumbe. He seeks to achieve the bottom up approach of economic development. Recently, Kimani Ichung'wah claimed that William Ruto is uplifting the economy of the country while others have gotten lost in the BBI fraud. He told DP Ruto that he should keep on focusing in building the economy by going back to the Mwai Kibaki Trajectory of growth.
His remarks made many Kenyans react. Some told that, "My friend we are where we are because of Uhuroto. Remember what used to happen with parastatal heads every Friday in the Karen Mansion. Don't think Kenyans don't know."
Others fired him by saying, "Tell it to the birds. Ruto is among those who have looted our economy. He is one the big economy bandits and no way we can trust him with the keys to our coffers." "Eeeh...When he was stealing our taxes was that...the bottom up approach? He didn't care then ..why shld he care now?..... tutigithie...ghatii gakaa." They said.
