Mohamed Ali Nur, popularly known as "Ambassador Americo", was the Somali Ambassador to Kenya from October 2007 to April 2015. He was also a candidate in the 2017 Somali presidential election.Picture for illustrative purpose.
He has already expressed interest on Kamukunji Constituency Parliamentary seat and he is a die hard supporter and an executive member of TangaTanga. TangaTanga Political Camp is led by our able Deputy President William Ruto.Picture for illustrative purpose.
He(Hon Alinur) is among those few leaders who have taken the intiative of thinking how common citizens are surviving in this worst and painful economic times. Through his facebook page, he wondered how Kenyans will survive if at all even a breakfast is hard to get.
Attached please find his facebook post as I captured it from his facebook timeline for your review. "Bread is Kshs 60, a 500ml packet of milk is now at Kshs 65 while one tomato is Kshs 25. For a single person breakfast now costs Kshs 125. How about a family that has 7 members? How will Kenyans survive in this country?" reads his facebook postPicture for illustrative purpose.
This facebook post attracted lots of reactions where different Kenyans gave different views and opinions as captured below.Picture for illustrative purpose.
*You as a leader should show us by example and by standing for the truth, and questioning what you think is not right. But the moment you're called to hotels and in statehouse, you betray those who elected you.
*Millions of Kenyans see that bread displayed on shops. This doesn't affect a larger population, but some upper middle class and the rich who consume bread everyday.
*How can the Government calculate the breakfast for every citizen? The state has a lot to calculate and current and recurrent expenditure is what matters to any Government.
