Kanini Kega Breaks Silence Following Claims Junet Mohammed in Kisii

Kieni MP Kanini Kega has today broken his silence following the recent remarks by Suna East MP Junet Mohammed while addressing his followers through Facebook post.

Kega wrote “My colleague Hon Junet statement was in jest. Let's not create a mountain out of anthill. The lake and the mountain remains united!” He also wished Kenyans a splendid Sunday.

His clarification comes just a few days after Suna East MP made claims while in a Kisii meeting that 2022 election is a chance for the people of Nyanza and that when Raila ascends to power Health CS Mutahi Kagwe would only be coming there as a visitor. Members of Tanga Tanga interpreted it as a warning directed at the Kikuyu community.

There has been a fierce online debate among political enthusiasts from both Azimio la Umoja and Tanga Tanga factions which has seemingly dented the former PM’s public image. ODM Secretary General however dismissed the debate saying that Junet was only making a joke.

Kega’s support for Junet reaffirms that Odinga’s lieutenants from central region are unmoved and battle for presidency is on course.
