It is notable that the DP and the CS rarely see eye to eye. The DP believes the CS interior is among those who are trying to block his transition to State House. The bad blood between these jubilee stalwarts started when the president axed some of the DP's roles and gave them to Matiangi.
As a result, the DP and the CS have traded insults in the past with Matiangi insisting that he only reports to the president. This basically means that he does not not recognize the DP.
A meeting between the CS, UDA national treasurer Omingo Magara and Kitutu Masaba MP Sylvanus Osoro has raised eyebrows across social media and political gossip barazas.
Magara and Osoro are staunch Ruto supporters. The two have been criticizing the CS to garner political points from UDA supporters. However, with elections fast approaching, political realignment is a must.
