Updates on Governor Charity Ngilu Issued a Day After Hospitalisation

It has emerged that Kitui county governor Charity Karuki Ngilu is not in any danger just a day after details of her hospitalisation emerged.

Kitui county communications team confirmed that the governor is now able to make phone calls on her own and speak freely with visitors.

Ngilu was admitted at Nairobi Hospital on July 25 after being diagnosed with Covid-19 with Machakos county Governor Dr Alfred Mutua having confirmed the same on Tuesday while in Murang'a county.

A spot check on Ngilu's social media platforms revealed that she had a busy schedule over the past week . Recently, she hosted Garissa County Governor Ali Korane at her office in Kitui where they held discussions on the cooperation between the two counties.

Further, Ngilu has also been attending various meetings alongside Raila, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda.

Last week on July 22nd, The governor addressed a huge gathering of small traders from Kitui who she said “ambushed” her at her office in Kitui.
