Nimrod Mbithuka Mbai was born in the year 1978. He is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Kitui East Constituency.
Nimrod Mbai started his education at Malatani Primary School and later moved to Ikanga Boys Secondary School for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Nimrod Mbai joined the University of Nairobi to take a Diploma in Public Relations and later moved back to the University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications. He then went to the Kenyatta University to pursue a Masters in Public Policy and Administration.
Nimrod Mbai is a vocal MP from the Ukambani region.
He was later shifted to protect current Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua following his appointment as Government Spokesman when Nyenze lost his seat in 2002, serving in his new post for ten years.
However, in 2013, after Mutua becoming a Governor, he resigned from the force to take over as Mutua's Chief Officer in charge of decentralized units and agriculture and used the time to pave way for his candidature.
He was elected on a Jubilee Party ticket in the August 8th elections.
As a first time legislator from Kitui East Constituency, he is known as the man who once threatened Kitui County Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu with rape for supporting Raila Odinga.
