"Acha Kujificha, Face Us Head On, Stop Hiding Behind Martha Karua" Ruto's Allies Tell Raila Odinga

The war of words between Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto has escalated in recent months, they have to face each other in August polls. To show their might, Deputy President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance have asked Azimio la Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga not to hide behind his running mate, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, in Mt Kenya and face their team face to face.

Led by Mathira Mp Rigathi Gachagua, they lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to keep off the campaign trail, saying Mr Odinga was on his own, and should seek for his votes himself, especially in Mount Kenya region. Gachagua who is Dp Ruto's running mate said that the people of Mt Kenya will not be lured by Ms Karua’s appointment as Raila's number two.

"I want to laud the president who is my friend, I did not want to disrespect him that when he is campaigning for Raila, I am busy campaigning for Deputy President William Ruto said," Gachagua said.

His statement was echoed by ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi who said that Mr Uhuru Kenyatta was smart to ensure he retires with the Azimio party leader.

Dr Ruto used the opportunity to popularize his bottom up economic approach relating to the track record of Jubilee government, mentioning education, infrastructure, health and agriculture as part of sectors that they performed well as the Dp. He promised to ensure that the youth will acquire training in vocational institutes to ready them for the job market, should he win August General elections.

He also took a swipe at the Azimio coalition leader Raila Amollo Odinga saying that they have gathered to work on how to change the constitution while the Kenya Kwanza is focused to revive the economy which is ailing in ICU.
