Jubilee's Juja by-election candidate Susan Wakapee has fired with allegations that her votes have been rigged as Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairman Wafula Chebukati issues a warning.
Susan Wakapee has protested after sensing defeat in the just-concluded Juja Constituency byelection against the Peoples Empowerment Candidate Robert Koimburi calling upon the IEBC to repeat the counting of votes.
Ms. Wakapee has informed that women should also be treated fairly alleging that there were some uncounted votes which were left in Jomo Kenyatta and Gachororo polling stations.
The Jubilee Candidate has threatened that if the counting of the votes will not be repeated, then the elections should be canceled and another one conducted.
"I'm calling for votes counting because this is sad especially for a woman being unfairly treated. Some votes were left in Jomo Kenyatta and some in Gachororo. If anything, we are calling for another by-election," Susan Wakapee has said.
However, despite the remarks from the Jubilee Juja Candidate, IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati has issued a warning informing that they have the full records of the papers used during the voting exercise and that they won't allow a section of leaders to introduce foreign papers in the polling.
"Ballot papers are serialized and we know how many ballot papers were used in the whole process so anybody who thinks they can introduce foreign papers in the polling is a total waste of time (SIC)."- Wafula Chebukati has warned.
