Migori county gubernatorial aspirant Ochillo George Mbogo has today unveiled his running mat for the upcoming general election. Ochillo Ayacko has picked on Joseph Gimunta Mahiri as his running mate for the seat. Migori has two main communities, that is the Luo and the Kuria. For one to win as a governor, they just have to pick a deputy from thatb region. That is how the regional balancing of Migori is.
On his facebook page, Ayacko wrote that Gimunta brings with him wealth of managerial experience and expertise both at local and national levels and he will be of great benefit to the people of Migori county. He also added that he picked Mahiri after wide consultations with the ODM party and various stakeholders in Migori county.
Ochillo will be hoping to convince the Kurians that he is the better candidate, since the Kuria also have one of their own in Rebecca Maroa also vying.
