In the joined interview airedbytelevisionstations Martha Karua made it clear on the role of a Deputy President. The Azimio running mate said that if you look at what the Deputy President does it is be the principal assistant of the president and perform any other duties assigned by the president. Therefore, a deputy president can hold a ministerial docket, she said again. Karua said that there is no difference between when a deputy president leads a ministerial docket and when another minister holds.
On fighting corruption Karua said that it is more than just about going to court. She said it involves giving the public confidence that the government is serious about what it is doing so that the public can be partners in the fight against corruption. She said that Azimio shall deal with the corruption that has affected healthcare service delivery and that Babacare will upgrade the public health facilities at a low cost.
