Former Kajiado South Member of Parliament Katoo ole Metito has revealed personal details of a meeting he had with President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi, before he was appointed State House Warden.
Speaking at an event in Kajiado, Mr. Metito is now the person running the State House.
According to him, it all started on Friday morning when he was looking at the day's work.
“It was at 7:10am. I’m not a suit person and at the moment (having lost in the last general election), I don’t have an office to report to so I was just in a casual outfit. Then I got a call from the president and he told me ‘get to the State House by 8:30am’. I alighted from the car, wore a suit and started the journey,” he recalled.
Katoo Ole Metito said he was worried about the long journey from Rongai to downtown Nairobi, which usually takes up to four hours. Fortunately, he said he went to the State House a few minutes before 8:30 am on his order.
