Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo had admitted that Deputy President William Ruto's popularity and campign trail will allow him to win the presidency if the elections are held today.
Jirongo who joined the One Kenya Alliance two weeks ago however argues that the remaining less than ten months to 2022 elections will witness drastic changes in the political space and unexpected alignments.
He went on to state that it is very hard for one to predict who will carry the day in 2022 and form the next administration.
Jirongo holds the view that the OKA team is best suited to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta on claims that the members Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Gideon Moi (Kanu) have the needs of Kenyans at heart.
A week ago, while attending a church service in Ruai, Jirongo said that his preferred president was Kalonzo owing to his service to the country ranging from being a minister to a vice president.
The former presidential candidate even accompanied Kalonzo and the OKA team to Makueni last Monday to campaign for the Wiper's candidate in the just concluded Nguu/Masumba Ward by-election.
