What President Ruto has asked Parliament to do through a letter

The President of Kenya, William Ruto, spent the majority of the day attending the 18th Graduation Ceremony at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.

The President made two requests to Parliament this evening, according to a letter seen that was issued to the Speakers of both houses.

According to the reliable reports we have this evening from State House, President William Ruto has written to the National Assembly requesting a few things.

President Ruto advocated an increase in the number of nominated Members of the National Assembly in a memorandum submitted to Parliament.

The number of MPs in Parliament will grow exponentially as the number of nominated Members of Parliament increases.

As an oversight tool, President William Ruto has also asked Parliament to change the standing orders to allow his Cabinet Secretaries to directly answer questions on the floor.

According to the reports we have, these are the two things he has asked Parliament to consider.
