His Excellency The President ,The Commander In chief of the armed forces, Uhuru Kenyatta announced through The statehouse Twitter account that He is to Address the Nation today.
The curfew and lockdown for the past 60 days came to an end yesterday.Due to the Rising cases of Corona virus Citizens are expecting more lockdown procedures.
In the past 30 days, the counties in nyanza and Western wing ,have been on curfew times.This is between 7pm and 4am.The Covid-19 ,Indian variant had hit Kisumu, due to the madaraka day celebrations which was held in Kisumu in June, whereby many guest attended.
Despite the Covid-19 measures put in place ,the positivity rate in Kisumu has been on the rise and many deaths have been witnessed.
The nyanza and Western regions whose churches and public gatherings have been restricted have high hopes for the president to open up the churches and allow them to have their freedom of worship.
