Being the most protected man in Kenya today, President William Ruto's layered security is meant to be attack- proof. That's why the elite security personnel are deployed to enhance his safety.
To ensure Dr Ruto's maximum security and protection, the following four individuals play a key role:
1. Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga: Though he is not Ruto's bodyguard, as an Aide-de-camp, he makes security coordination with members of the President's close protection ring.
At times, if the worst come to the worst, he will personally swing into action to ensure the the safety of the President in case of an attack.
2. Assistant Inspector General of Police William Oloonkishu Yiampoi: He is the man in-charge of the elite Presidential Escort Unit.
One of the most influential people around President Ruto having worked for him for 10 years, Oloonkishu has been working for PEU since the reign of the late President Daniel Arap Moi.
In his position, Oloonkishu ensures that the President is always protected whenever he is travelling and during all public gatherings.

3. George Nderitu: A long serving aide of the late President Mwai Kibaki, Nderitu has been the man in-charge of State House security since the reign of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
And today, he is still executing his role, as the man who ensures that Ruto is adequately protected at State House and all State Lodges across the country.
4. Pepita Ranka Kinyaga: He worked as Uhuru's chief bodyguard before crossing over to Ruto's side soon after the latter's inauguration in September.
A Recee Squad commando, Ranka is an influential member of Dr Ruto's close protection unit. Often, in most cases, you will see him walking side by side with the President.
