Kenyan politics are on top gear as August general elections beckons. For the last one week, there has been a shift on our political discourse. Raila and Ruto have been considerably left out of political scrutiny. Their running mates are now at the centre of political discussion. Every coalition is now drumming up their candidate while downplaying significance of their rival candidate.
Following that pattern, Irungu Kang'ata has opined why Kenyans should be wary of electing a Raila/Martha ticket. The Murang'a senator drew example from the time when Karua resigned from Kibaki's cabinet. He has wondered about Karua's temperament if she could not deal with a soft and cool president like Kibaki.
Irungu Kang'ata has described Raila Odinga as a combustible character. With such a character, Irungu feels that Karua will resign in one week of their swearing in. Martha Karua has said that it will be easy to work with Raila since they hold same ideology especially when it comes to social justice.
