Siaya county governor Hon James Orengo has slammed Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua for constantly criticizing Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga whenever he gets a chance to speak.
While speaking in Kisumu county during the burial ceremony of Ker Willis Opiyo, who was the chairman of the Luo council of elders, James Orengo said that DP Gachagua has been tormenting them for a long time.
He revealed that his tormentation began during the reign of the former Late President Daniel Arap Moi when Rigathi Gachagua was serving as a DO. Orengo alleged that while they were opposing the Moi regime, Gachagua sent police officers to beat them while they were in Limuru.
Orengo further slammed Gachagua saying that he is not in the same league as Raila Odinga. He said that when Raila was fighting for multi-partyism, Gachagua was still serving as a DO in Moi's government.
He also criticized President William Ruto accusing him of making too many promises to Kenyans without fulfilling them. He asked the head of state to work on the promises that he made instead of making new promises every day.
He warned the Kenya Kwanza government that the opposition will not relent until when Raila Odinga will take over the government because he has the best interest of Kenyans at his heart.
