Ruto’s Silence Sends Jitters Down The Spine of His Political Detractors

Deputy President William Ruto has been under siege by the government that he boasts to have formed with his boss Uhuru Kenyatta. Latest political developments indicate a different political trajectory contradicting the initial arrangement of reciprocating political support after the end of Uhuru’s term.

Ruto has not yet come out to criticize the move that the government is undertaking to silence his worthy lieutenants. Political pundits allude that his political nemesis coalescing around the President are worried that his silence is so loud, with some speculating that he might be waiting for Wanjohi to complete playing his cards before he unravels his cards.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is believed to have invited former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto on Thursday to State House for a private meeting in what is seen as an extra move to drive away DP Ruto from the precincts of power. However, a section of Ruto’s supporters have warned the government against betraying him.

Dennis Ole Itumbi, a key ally of Ruto, expressed his disappointment and stated that they will fight to the end.

“It is NOT over yet. #HustlerNation will fight to the very end. #WheelbarrowRuling,” tweeted Ole Itumbi.
