The newest member of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance is Kiraitu Murungi, the head of the Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) and the recently-retired governor of Meru.
At his Karen office in Nairobi on Friday, President-elect William Ruto welcomed Murungi together with several prominent figures and more than 40 Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) from the counties of Meru and Embu.
Murungi noted that some of the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance aspirants lost their seats due to internal sabotage and dark room intrigues inside the camp.
"The Mbus ride in Azimio coalition has been bumpy and slippery. Some of us lost the last election because of dark room intrigues and internal sabotage by some actors within the Azimio coalition," said Kiraitu Murungi
This comes shortly after SC and ODM diehard bloggers allegedly exposed moles from the Azimio presidential candidate camp linking them to having sabotaged Mr. Odinga's presidency.
Elizabeth May, the director of finance, George Njoroge, the CEO of East Africa Data Handlers, June Mohammad, the member of parliament for Sonu East who serves as secretary-general, and Saitabao Ole Kanchori, who served as Raila's chief agent, are all named on Kipkorir's list of alleged perpetrators.
Kipkorir said on Friday that the aforementioned employees should voluntarily resign from their positions as members of Raila's campaign team immediately on his social media accounts.
His comments come just after the Supreme Court wrapped up its consideration of the presidential election case and said that a final ruling would be issued on Monday, September 5.
Lord Abraham Mutai, a self-described volunteer for Azimio's Campaign Team, expressed his concerns as well. Lord Abraham Mutai supplied that the aforementioned names should willingly resign and stop any further r associations with Azimio-OKA Camp as early as possible.
This could be the beginning and end of the Azimio-OKA candidate Raila Odinga's state house chase.. Kindly share and comment.
