IEBC vice chair Juliana Cherera has resigned alongside Justus Nyangaya, as the Azimio party leader Raila Odinga takes to the streets to fight for them.

Cherera explained that she had worked hard in her commission but that her efforts had been misunderstood and misconstrued in a brief resignation letter to Kenyan President William Ruto.
Cherera has thanked William Ruto for giving her the chance to serve the Kenyan people. However, many people feel that her gratitude was misplaced because she should have thanked Uhuru Kenyatta, who was president at the time she was appointed to the commission.
"To the President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency the Hon. Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto, Thank You Very Much for the Honor of Serving Our Great Nation. Blessed be Kenya, "that's what she said.

Since she and President William Ruto have never gotten along, the message to the president may be ironic. Ruto has been using all of his executive authority to force the departure of the four.
