ODM Senator Goes To Matungu To Counter Oscar Sudi Ground Influence

The Senator for Siaya James Agree Orengo has today visited Matungu sub county in Kakamega to drum up support for an ODM candidate in the upcoming by-election.

Through his twitter page Orengo shared photos of him in Matungu earlier today.

"I spent my day engaging voters in Namasanda, Koyonzo and Mwira in Matungu Constituency" tweeted Orengo.

Orengo was accompanied by ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna.

This comes just a week after Oscar Sudi took over to lead the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party in ground mobilisation.

Sudi has been leading the UDA team in door to door mobilisation in all wards in Matungu.

Alex Lanya who is a nonstarter is running on a UDA ticket but has gained much ground support because of the support of former Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa and ex Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale.

David Were who is running on an ODM ticket might not clinch the seat despite the fact that he was the area member of Parliament for 15 years.

Another participant in the race is the Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate Oscar Nabulindo who is getting support from the current senator of kakamega cleopas Malala.
