Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati is a Kenyan national and politician currently serving as the second Governor of Bungoma on a Ford Kenya ticket. Wangamati came to power after defeating Kenneth Lusaka in the 2017 election. The former Governor Kenneth Makelo Lusaka was affiliated to the ruling Jubilee Coalition. He is now serving as the Senate Speaker. Bungoma County Governor Wycliffe Wangamati's party leader is the Bungoma County Senator Moses Wetangula.
Amani National Congress party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi who is an ally to Bungoma County Senator Moses Wetangula declared his interest in succeeding the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta who is serving his last term as per the 2010 Kenyan Constitution. Hon. Musalia Mudavadi has been campaigning across the country trying to woo voters.
But things are not going well for Hon Musalia Mudavadi. Bungoma County Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has urged Hon Musalia Mudavadi to stop wasting his resources on presidential campaigns. According to the Governor, Hon Musalia Mudavadi is unfit to lead.
