What Has Kept President Uhuru Kenyatta Abroad For More Than A Week

President Uhuru Kenyatta jetted out of the country on Monday 4th October 2022 to Ethiopia, and later flied to US. He was expected to come back after one week after which he would give detailed response to Pandora papers as he promised.

Since the head is state left, Kenyans have been wondering when he will be back to the nation. However, the sources of privy have established that Uhuru will spend 2 days more in the US.

The Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) has disclosed that Uhuru is to chair a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) high level open debate on diversity state building and peace. According to Kenya's Permanent Representative to UN ambassador Martin Kimani, the main agenda at UN security council is to offer ideas and solutions to global peace and security.

The head of state is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with UN Secretary General Antonio Guteres and witness signing of a trade agreement between Kenya's private sector and consortium of American companies. They will discuss several subjects of mutual interests to Kenya and the UN almond them the global response to Covid-19 pandemic.

President Uhuru is scheduled to participate in the global leader's high level discussion organized by International Peace Institute (IPI) as a platform for the world leaders to discuss contemporary subjects.

Therefore, I urge my fellow Kenyans to be patient as we wait for the arrival of out head of the state.
