As next year's general elections draw closer, politicians are criss crossing the country to solidify their support base. Deputy president William Ruto has been holding meetings at his Karen home after political gatherings were banned by the president. This was in a bid to curb the rising Covid 19 infections.
Today, the deputy president met leaders from the North Eastern region. The leaders were accompanied by youth representatives drawn from all the counties of the region.
Also present were deputy president's key supporters who arranged for the meeting. This include the Nakuru senator Susan Kihika, Bahati member of parliament Kimani Ngunjiri, Nyali mp Mohammed Ali and Nominated senator Mwaura Isaac. The DP promised to solve the water problem in the northern corridor so as to improve agriculture. This was part of his bottom up blue print for the region.
