Deputy president William Ruto has today in his capacity held a high profile meeting different from the political meetings he always holds at his office.
The second in command met with the Indonesia envoy to Kenya Dr. Mohamad Very Sirpudin in the company of other high profile leaders.
"At the Karen Residence in Nairobi County, held bilateral talks with Dr Mohamad Hery Saripudin, the Indonesian envoy to Kenya." The second in command posted shortly after the meeting.
The deputy president's meeting with the Indonesia envoy was an effort to strengthen the relationship between the two countries which he said has ensured economic growth in Kenya.
"Cooperation between Kenya and Indonesia has sustained economic growth, giving room for the exploration of many opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the people." Ruto said.
"We are keen on broadening our trade and furthering of technical training as we move to reconfigure our economy to prioritise medium and small-sized enterprises." Ruto added.
This becomes one of the few non political meetings Ruto has held this year, the deputy president since his fallout with President Uhuru has been sidelined and only Recieves delegation of politicians into his Karen home.
