The ODM has responded after alleged big names inside the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission favoring Deputy President William Ruto as new details emerge.
On Sunday, one of the local dailies has alleged that there is a team of 6 Officials serving in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission working for DP Ruto namely, Silas Njeru who is the Manager of Business Systems IEBC, Abdidahir Abdi acting Manager voter Registration department, Laureta Chepkwony Head of Networking Services IEBC, Isaiah Langat ICT Technician IEBC, Paul Mugo Wachianga-Head of Warehouse IEBC and Boniface Wamae Deputy Head of IEBC Warehouse.
The local dailies have continued to purport that the team has been meeting with DP Ruto and his allies to secure funding so that they can offer him a sure win.
"They are a group that meets with Ruto's people late at night in secretive city hotels. They are funded to ensure everything in the IEBC goes in accordance with Ruto's favor. They aim to ensure Ruto wins in the August polls and they have been funded to see it through," read the allegations.
In reaction to the allegations, Orange Democratic Movement Party Communications Director Philip Etale has reacted by informing that the reports should be investigated and if found true, then, quick action should be taken including having the mentioned out of the IEBC immediately.
"These crooks MUST be smocked out without mercy," ODM Communications Director Philip Etale has reacted calling out Raila Odinga's team to rise against such.
