PLO Lumumba has joined the long list of prominent people that came out to congratulate Dr William Ruto after he won the presidential election as announced by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati on Monday evening. Taking to his Twitter page, Lumumba congratulated Ruto for the victory as he told him to serve the country with dignity. Lumumba in his statement mentioned all the four presidential candidates to signify unity and peace.
"Vox populi, Vox Dei.
Dr.William S. Ruto serve your Country with dignity and [email protected] @RailaOdinga @WilliamsRuto @glwajackoyah." Lumumba said in a tweet.
Ruto has been receiving congratulatory messages from different leaders across the continent and world ever since Chebukati released the presidential results. Although his opponents have not conceded defeat he is still the president elect and hopes to be sworn in. If the petition does not become successful for the Azimio team, he will assume office on 30th August.
