After a video showing Wetangula and Mudavadi being greeted by a small crowd went viral, people in Kenya have been left talking about the event.
This was on their Tuesday rally where they toured Khwisero Constituency in Kakamega County to advocate for Deputy President William Ruto's presidential aspiration as well as local politicians aligned to Kenya Kwanza.
However, despite Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula having a significant amount of notoriety in the Western Kenya region, there was only a relatively tiny number of people that showed up. It is important to note that the two leaders have a very large task ahead of them in order to deliver seventy percent of the votes from Western Kenya to Deputy President William Ruto's bid. This is necessary in order for Ruto to fulfill his promise in terms of cabinet positions and other government posts.
Since this is the home area of Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, who is one of the bigwigs in Azimio La Umoja, it is not yet clear where the ground has shifted to support Azimio La Umoja. This is one of the reasons why it is unclear where the support for Azimio La Umoja is coming from.
