The political season is officially on in Kenya with all eyes fixed on General elections slated for 9th August. Many politicians are fighting for their survival as Governors, Senators, Women Representatives, Members of Parliament and Members of County Assemblies.Many leaders are also shifting their political allegiance and camps with only less than 10 months to elections.The presidential race is going to be very competitive with Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga being seen as the top contenders to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta whose is serving his second term that ends next year August.Opinion poll results conducted by Meru Senator Hon Mithika Linturi are out. In the poll Linturi asked Kenyans who they will vote as their next president come 2022.The final results revealed that DP Ruto will defeat his opponents in next years polls. Ruto garnered 62 percent of all votes casted online.Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga came a distant second with 30 percent supporting his presidential ambitions. Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo who are OKA principals came third and fourth respectively with 6 percent and 2 percent voting for them respectively.
