Makueni's Governor Kivutha Kibwana has given out his views on when the constitutional review should be conducted.
Communicating via a tweet ,Kivutha said that the constitutional review should take place after the 2022 General elections. He also added that after that is when they will handle the Bombs draft. Giving reasons as to why he has this opinion he stated the following.
''It is not judicious to handle reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision(IEBC), delimination of constituencies, referendum and a general election within a period of eleven months''
He also question about the issue of public participation that took place during the passing of Building Bridges Initiative Bill demanding its value(public participation)
''Most of the 'yeses' of the fourty seven county assemblies were qualified. Where public participation took place, the citizens and the representatives recommended changes to the BBI bill. Parliament seems to be grappling with the same issue. What is the value of public participation!".
