Kimilili Member of National Assembly commonly referred to as Mps, Hon. Didmus Barasa was on the morning of Thursday August 11th announced as the Re-elected member of Parliament for the Kimilili constituency by the presiding officer.
Didmus Barasa managed to garner a total of 26,000 votes while his closest competitor Mr. Brian Khaemba of DAP-K party came second with a total of 9,000 votes.
Didmus clinched the MP seat despite the fact that the member of Parliament is on the run as the police are man hunting him for an allegation of murdering one of his competitor's aide.

He is said to have shot one of the aides to his closest rival Mr. Brian Khaemba on the evening of Tuesday 9th August, 2022.
The Kimilili parliamentary seat had also attracted two more aspirants, Mr. Peter Makokha of ODM party and Mr. Erastus Muchimudi of the Jubilee party.
However, All the four candidates who took part in the polls did not show up during the vote-tallying exercise.
