Political Analyst Herman Manyora has speculated on how President William Ruto could easily win in the 2027 elections.
Manyora claimed if Ruto manages to subdue Azimio leader Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua he might not get a tough opponent in the 2027 elections.
But without a tough opponent to challenge Ruto, Prof Manyora claimed that not many people will come out to vote adding that Ruto might get embarrassing low votes.
The political analyst claimed President Ruto will be embarrassed to get low votes that he might be ashamed of his victory when he won the 2022 elections with more than 7 million votes.
“Let’s assume all these things of 14-days ultimatum, mass actions, Ruto must go dies then Ruto slides into 2027, it will not be possible to get 5 million people to vote. Ruto will be running solo. Most people want to fight and win something. The sweetness in the victory is to be found in the struggle of the fight. If Ruto subdues Raila, Martha and Kalonzo he will run against himself in 2027 and he will get such embarrassing low votes, he will be ashamed to be President,” claimed Manyora.
“If you are running as president in 2027 and there is nobody credible against you and you know why and you end up with 3 or 4 million votes when you won with 7 million in the previous election, how will you celebrate your victory?” asked Manyora.
