Raila Odinga to Grace KUSI Ideas Festival on 19th December at Ciala Resort, Kisumu

Opposition chief Raila Odinga who also serves as African Union high representatives for infrastructural development has graciously accepted to close KUSI ideas festival on the 9th of December in kisumu County.

The two-day event is an annual conference that was launched by nation media group as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations to begin building pan-african 'ideas transaction market' to capitalise on the opportunities and innovations available to Africa.

The event which will be held between 8th and 9th of December will deliberate on the African continent development path and the effect of coronavirus pandemic to african economies.

The first day will be a pan African event and the second day scheduled for East Africa with a focus on modern cities and lake Victoria blue economy. The event will also be a primer for the Africities Summit which will be held in Kisumu in 2021.

This year's festival aims to bring together the best insights and innovations in dealing with the impact of coronavirus in the economic, health, educational and social areas to generate ideas for overcoming the economic crisis being experienced.
