An Azimio Rally was held in Kakamega county at the bukhungu stadium led by the county governor Wycliffe Oparanya. The event which was mainly populated by Azimio candidates was meant to hand over the administrative structure to be used in campaign by the ODM gubernatorial Aspirant Fernandes Barasa. Fernandes Barasa is running for the Gubernatorial seat in Kakamega county with his main rival being Cleophas Malala of UDA.
Amidst the event, the uninvited Malala stormed in with thousands of supporters who were so rowdy. Anti-riot police had to be deployed at the venue lobbing teargas for peace to be reinstated. The Malala supporters however still remained outside the venue making a lot of noise such that it took the county governor a lot of time to read his speech.
Despite the chaos, the unmoved Malala sat at the same table with his Azimio rival. Wycliffe Oparanya was also seated at the same place.
