Kalonzo Now Told Raila Might Not Name Him The Azimio Flag Bearer, Told How To Quickly Save Himself

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has now been handed a major shocker, only days since he demanded that he's named the Azimio One-Kenya coalition flag bearer ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.

According to reports, Raila Odinga will not allow Kalonzo Musyoka to become his successor once he retires. In a statement by Hon Barack Muluka who spoke to Standard Digital on Tuesday 3, Kalonzo's only way out is to join President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza camp.

Muluka added that Kalonzo could end up remaining irrelevant in the political arena in the coming years if he remains in the Raila-led Azimio camp. He also argued that should Raila decide to name Kalonzo as his successor, the fierce men who hang around his coattail will not collaborate with such a decision.

Therefore, Kalonzo's only choice is to find a political entity that'll assure him a political support base in the future. This comes just hours after the ODM party Secretary General Hon Edwin Sifuna affirmed that Kalonzo's demands to Raila won't be listened to, arguing that it's too early to begin the 2027 discourse.
