This comes just days after the senator was defeated in the United Democratic Alliance movement Party selections on April 14th by incumbent Ruiru Constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Simon King'ara.
Since then, Deputy President William Ruto has indicated that the senator has accepted the nomination results and will vote for the current Member of Parliament in the August elections.
"Welcome to the Kenya Kwanza national campaign, Hon Isaac Mwaura. Your graciousness in accepting the results of our just ended party nominations in Ruiru Constituency strengthens your leadership qualities. I wish you luck in your new position as team leader in Kiambu County, as well as in the disability community." William Ruto, Deputy President.
Isaac Mwaura will now manage deputy president William Ruto's campaign team in Kiambu county, with the goal of ensuring that the second-in-command wins the 2018 elections.
Kiharu Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Ndindi Nyoro escorted him to see Deputy President William Ruto at his official Karen residence in Nairobi.
