The United Democratic Alliance, UDA Party led by Deputy President William Ruto has been defeated by other parties in the position of the governor, women rep and the senate seat according to latest Mizani Africa opinion polls.
The poll results which were released on Friday June 24th showed that The Tujibebe Wakenya party leader William Kabogo could be elected as the governor in the August polls with 35 per cent, while UDA candidate Kimani Wa Matanai would came second with 23 per cent.
Jubilee's candidate and the incumbent governor James Nyoro came third with 18 per cent ,while Independent candidate Patrick Wainaina and Chama Cha Kazi's party leader came fourth and fifth with 14 and 5 per cent respectively.
On the senatorial position, Chama Cha Kazi's candidate Machel Waikenda emerged the most preferred candidate with 47 per cent while Jubilee's George Maara came second with 19 per cent.
UDA's candidate Karungo wa Thang'wa was not ranked following the stalemate surrounding his nominations after petition was filed to have him not cleared on claims he was impeached while serving as a County Executive Commitee Member for Youth Affairs in Kiambu County.
On the Woman Rep position, Tujibebe Wakenya candidate Mercy Nungari emerged as the most preferred candidate while UDA's candidate Anne Wamuratha came second. Others were Loise Kim, Gladys Chania and Njeri Bakari in that order.
