Mwangi wa Iria is a Kenyan politician. He is the first and current Governor of Murang'a County in the vote rich Mt Kenya Region. He is also the current vice chairman of the Council of Governors of Kenya, having been elected in January 2019. He was elected on the 4 March 2013 general elections and subsequently in August 2017 hotly contested general elections his second and final term through the ruling Jubilee Coalition party of Kenya. Governor Mwangi Wa Iria was born on 28 August 1964 in Kiharu Constituency, Murang'a County in Kenya.
Governor Mwangi Wa Iria declared his presidential bid in the fourth coming general elections. The flamboyant and vocal politician has asked the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga to be his running mate. Governor Mwangi Wa Iria says he has what it takes to be the next president of Kenya. He also revealed that he has 12 Million Votes.
