The morning debate on Citizen television, was a 'historical class show' where advocate Omari, took center stage to enlighten us on what he terms as 'historical accident' which touches on president Kenyatta and his deputy William. He bases his argument as the genesis of today's unfriendly relationship existing between them.
During that time, 2007/2008, crimes against humanity were committed and an investigation into the same was launched facilitated through judge Waki. Sometimes later, the report came out and prosecutor Ocampo was handed the names of Kenyan politicians believed to have actively engaged in committing crimes against humanity.
This is the time, the duo (Ruto and Uhuru) became friends of the International Criminal Court where it became their usual meeting point while attending Court proceedings as required.
They were drawn together on this basis not because of their uniform agenda, ideas, what they really wanted, or what they meant to each other, but because they were answerable in Hague and they looked for means to stick together while also stressing the international Court to respect the sovereignty of the people of Kenya as having 'spoken' by electing them in office.
According to Danstan, he maintained that was a historical accident which could not have occurred were it not for post elections violence.
That today's disagreements witnessed between them, were foreseen long time ago. They came together to meet a common objective, 'how to clear their names from international Court' and not 'that much' working together to serve Kenyans.
