As the country draws near to 2022 general election. Most politicians have started to organize themselves ready to storm 2022 with a bang. Yesterday, the coastal governors led by the Mombasa governor Hasan Joho , Kilifi govenor Amason Kingi and two others held a secret meeting with an aim of coming consolidating the coastal region a head of election.

The govenor said it was ahigh time the coastal region was not to be taken for granted. They agreed to select one person who will represent the coastal region at the presidential ballot.Govenor Samboja revealed that the region for a long time has been Supporting other candidates. This time around,they also need the same support so that the Coastal region should be able to produce the president.

The efforts by the coastal govenors to front one of their own to be a president is a big blow to the Orange Democratic Party. Most of these govenors were elected on ODM party. Their move points that at some time next yet,the coastal region might form the political party that will address the grievances of coastal people therefore, breaking their marriage with the major political party in the region,ODM.

Should they proceed to elect the region Kingpig, it will be difficult for the leaders to support their current party leader .
