A group of young leaders associated with the former prime minister Raila Odinga have come together to form a movement that aims to unite and embrace peace.

The lobby which is dubbed Strugglers movement will rally youths to vote wisely in the forthcoming general elections.

The group of youths say they recognise the struggles that Kenyans face and aim to change that.

Although the movement is less than a day old, it is already facing criticism from Kenyans on Twitter.

Some Kenyans feel that the movement is an attempt to counter the Deputy president William Ruto‘s Hustler nation movement.

Below are some reaction from Kenyans on Twitter.

@Wanyinaa: Now ODM has come up with "The strugglers movement"to counter Hustler Nation movement. Lol 🤣.Desperate times call for desperate measures. But we completely understand that they've been really struggling to get power hence running out of Ideas.

@RTanofresh: The problem bedevilling Odm is they always want to capture power through glorifying poverty, their intentions is always make them continue being poor in order to be worshipped! This is backwardness. Any sober kenyan wont join such a movement, no one is ready to struggle again.

WMMartha: So now ODM has come up with a 'strugglers movement' to rhyme the hustler movement? These people have fallen short of ideas. All they've been left with is copying hustlers. Hustlers lead handshake follow🤣
