East Africa Legislative Assembly nominee Suleiman Shahbal has successfully arrived in Arusha, Tanzania today Sunday, December 18 ahead of the swearing-in ceremony tomorrow Monday, December 19, 2022.
The businessman who will represent Azimio La Umoja and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party say he arrived in Arusha safely and met with fellow EALA MPs Hon. Kanini Kega and David Ole Sangkok.
"Safely arrived in Arusha, Tanzania ahead of tomorrow's swearing-in. Catching up with fellow EALA MPs elect Kanini Kega and David Ole Sankok," Hon. Suleiman Shahbaz said.
Further, Hon. Sankok and Hon. Kanini Kega is the nominee of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Jubilee Party respectively. Both leaders are also expected to be sworn in tomorrow.

However, other representatives from Kenya to the East African Legislative Assembly will also be sworn in on December 19 in Arusha, Tanzania.
The leaders are expected to serve for a term of five years. This is after being selected from both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza factions by the EALA constitution.
They include Kennedy Kalonzo, and Winnie Odinga also represent the ODM party and the Azimio La Umoja coalition. Former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar, Mwangi Maina, Kering Zipporah, and Iman Falhada were nominated by the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
According to multiple sources, the EALA membership currently stands at 62 with 54 elected members from all the partners and eight ex-official members. The headquarters of EALA is located in Arusha, Tanzania.
