Homabay gubernatorial contest emerges to be a two horse race between the incumbent Homabay Women Rep Gladys Wanga of Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement Party and the former Nairobi County governor Evans Kidero who is vying as an independent candidate.
According to the latest Opinion Poll conducted by Mizani Africa between 30th June and 4th July 2022 in Homabay County, it emerges that if elections were held today, Gladys Wanga would be the next governor of Homabay. The opinion poll shows that Wanga would be unbeatable as she leads with 57.3 percent popularity.
However the former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero who is an independent candidate has emerged as the second popular candidate with 39.6 percent popularity.
The opinion poll also shows that Moses Otieno Kajwang' is the most popular senatorial candidate for the August 9 General Election with 63.1 percent.
In the Woman Representative race, Joyce Atieno Bensouda might succeed Wanga as she emerges the most preferred candidate with 45.3 percent rating.
