Deputy President William Ruto today pitched his tent in Nyeri County. Where he held successful engagement meetings, empowerment programs, and stopovers interacting with huge crowds of his supporters.Who had turned out in large numbers to grace his tour in the region.
As he continued to popularize his presidential bid. Which will be fuelled by the bottom-up economics, should it materialize.
However, the second in command tour in Nyeri was not only marred with lots of acceptance but also bits of resistance.
At one stopover, DP Ruto and his allies were forced to endure a public humilation. When a section of agitated locals allegedly allied to the ODM party began heckling them, chanting rival slogans.
Efforts to calm them down were all rendered futile. Despite their continued resistance, clever DP Ruto and his allies soldiered on addressing them.
As they rallied them to support DP Ruto's quest to the statehouse.
