Raila Has Been Criticized Over His Actions Which Undermines Pres Ruto's Rule

Given that President William Ruto is leading Kenya in the wrong direction, it looks that ODM leader Raila Odinga has no intention of allowing him to rule in peace.

They are working to come up with countermeasures against Ruto, according to Opiyo Wandayi, Deputy Secretary General of Azimio La Umoja.

This is the reason, according to the Minority Leader of the National Assembly, that Raila called a meeting of the Parliamentary Group of the alliance.

He reveals that their discontent with Ruto's leadership is the reason Raila called the meeting to come up with tactics for dealing with the president.

"We will address the rising cost of living and increased insecurity across the nation and come to far-reaching conclusions on how we will deal with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration, which has been taking Kenyans for a ride," the Ugunja MP told The Standard.

The removal of the four contentious IEBC commissioners and the importation of GMO products are two of the reasons the ODM is trying to stop Ruto, according to the party's secretary of political affairs.

The aforementioned issues have received explicit opposition from Raila, who last week urged Ruto to get ready for a fight if he does not drop them.

He charged the Head of State with trying to bring the nation back to the Moi era and vowed to stop him.

We have tried our best to give Ruto time and space to recover and bring our country together since the 2022 election cycle was over. The former premier warned, "Unfortunately, Ruto appears to assume that we have given up."
