As per the Constitution every employee who wants to vie for any seat in the upcoming election must resign. Several prominent celebrities and Government officials have tendered in their resignations a head of the August polls.
Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Sports Culture and Heritage have resigned this afternoon. The duo Zack Kinuthia and Simon Kachapin have tendered their resignation to the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage Amina Mohammed.
Kinuthia and Kachapin have announced their next step is joining politics as Simon Kachapin will try to recapture the West Pokot seat that he lost to Governor Lonyangapuo in the previous election on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
Zack Kinuthia on other hand will vie for Kigumo Parliamentary seat under the political party he said would be proposed to him the President His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta. They have left the Ministry after serving for only one year respectively.
