Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has send a message of condolences to the family and friends of Mzee Edward Kimutai Chemwolo.
The deceased after a long illness.
Speaking during the burial ceremony of the deceased at his rural home in Cheplaskei farm, Kaplolo Location Mandago described the deceased as a hardworking and down to earth individual.
"I want to send my messageof condolences and that of Uasin Gishu to the family and friends of the deceased may God give you strength during this hard time of mourning," said the Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago while speaking to the press.
Mandago said his death is not only a big loss to the family but the people of Uasin Gishu.
"His death is a big loss not only to the family but to the entire people of Uasin Gishu, the deceased will greatly be missed," Mandago said.
The Uasin Gishu governor urges residents to continue following the directives by the Ministry of Health to prevent further spread of coronavirus.
"I want to add Kenyans to ensure that they wash their hands before and after every activity, observe one meter social distancing rule, avoid overcrowded places and if possible stay at home to prevent further spread of the virus,"he said.
Karuna Meibeki MCA Josephat Lowoi eulogised the deceased as a hardworking person, a dedicated family man and successful farmer.
"Mzee was a good friend of mine and we related so well in matters of public interest.May the Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace. Ruu ne talah Aboh," he said
